Sina Knoll holds a Master Degree in Science Dynamics from the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. She has been working in the film industry since 2003 starting in the production of science programs for German 3Sat and ZDF. Between 2007 and 2016 Sina worked for one of Europe’s biggest wildlife film production company, NDR Naturfilm, then producing between 30 and 50 wildlife one hour programs and cinema features each year. There she held the position of production manager in charge of international co-productions and rights management. Looking for objective insight she entered a doctoral programme in Communication Sciences at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal in order to investigate narratives in animal documentaries. Shortly after she started working freelance as film producer next to pursuing her academic research. Recently, Sina has produced a documentary film on environmental destruction and biodiversity loss.
